Canal 1 grows thanks to primetime films

In just one week, Canal 1 increased its audience by more than 75% in rating (managing an average of 2.64 points) and 77% of share (reaching an average of 15.34% of market share), during the airing of Función Estelar, a new slot in the channel´s primetime made up of Hollywood films, as registered by Kantar Ibope Media.

The new space is aired from Monday to Friday from 7 to 9pm. It underwent a 50% increase in relation to the previous week on the social networks of Canal 1, which include Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

For the first time on open TV in Colombia, TV viewers were able to enjoy big Hollywood productions, such as La Mujer Maravilla (2.86 rating and 16,71% share), Kong, la Isla Calavera (2.85 rating and 16.62% share), El Libro de la Selva (2.64 rating and 15.34% share), among other great blockbusters.

“Canal 1 continues growing in audience and understanding Colombian´s preferences in depth. We see that the audience is seeking entertainment alternatives and this is our proposal. Función Estelar is an excellent opportunity for advertisers that wish to reach the family demographic sector that is so important to expose these products or services,” said Felipe Ordóñez, the channel´s Commercial VP.

For the second week of Función Estelar, Canal 1 has programmed another selection of films like the exclusive national television launch of the Colombian film Doble, a romantic comedy starring Cristian Meier, Majida Issa, and Salvador Solar.
