With the entry of HITN as an authenticated application to the Spectrum platform (from Charter) in the US, there are already four pay-TV operators in that market that offer access to their channel subscribers through this app.
“This is a big deal for us because, along with Verizon, Altice and Century Link, we now have access to all the footprint of Charter customers who subscribe to HITN, which comprises a considerable amount of users. We are very excited and I am very confident that we will be able to double — if not triple — our engagement rate over the next three to six months” said Eric Turpin, general manager of HITN.
Regarding its SVOD platform in Spanish for preschoolers, Edye, he stressed that Liberty Cable and Claro in Puerto Rico are the next distributors of the service.
“Certainly on an international scale, we have with Claro a robust amount of distribution in all countries that offer Claro programming. Claro is head off in its growth schedule, and we are very happy with what we have planned to do in this regard. We will also be adding about 30% more of new programming in Claro over the next year. That will increase our numbers to more than a thousand hours of content available in Claro” he said.
