Starting this weekend, Sunday’s Premier League on Telemundo will expand its pre-game coverage with an additional 30-minute preview starting at 10:30am ET.
The new format provides viewers with an earlier start of Premier League content every Sunday, featuring Telemundo Deportes’ talent who bring the latest news and information with their fun, unique style, in anticipation of the match of the day. The pre-game will also present news around the press conferences, preparations from players and ambiance in the stadium.
Telemundo’s Sunday broadcast will feature Manchester United facing Newcastle at 11:30am ET. Manchester United comes off a 1-1 draw with Arsenal, while Newcastle looks for their second win of the Premier League season.
All matches on Universo and Telemundo will be preceded by the 30-minute pre-game show La Liga Premier Extra. Pre and post coverage include highlights, recaps and the top stories around the Hispanic stars.
Beginning this weekend, Telemundo Deportes also debuts a new special series of interviews featuring Premier League’s top Hispanic coaches. The special interviews will be featured across Telemundo Deportes’ pre-game coverage and on digital platforms.
Telemundo Deportes’ sports analysis show – and the only Spanish-language show dedicated exclusively to capturing all the action of the Premier League –La Liga Premier: Tercer Tiempo wraps up Sunday’s coverage at 1:30pm ET.
Coverage is complemented with social media content including short-form analysis on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube and live interaction with fans.
The network’s soccer experts will provide play-by-play commentary led by Andrés Cantor, Sammy Sadovnik, Copán Álvarez, Eduardo Biscayart, Carlos Hermosillo and Manuel Sol. The commentators will also contribute to the pre and post-analysis alongside Emmy-winning expert Miguel Gurwitz.
