NBCUniversal: We are launching a docureality of our own production, Belleza XL

E! launched its new original Brazilian production Belleza XL on Wednesday, July 24 at 10pm. It is a docureality that depicts the life and routine of three plus-size models: Fluvia Lacerda, known as the “plus size Gisele Bundchen”, Mayara Russi and the pioneer of plus size models, Plus Size Miss Brazil, Denise Giménez.

The docureality shows the plus size industry boom, the internacionalization of its models and the challenges and obstacles that the young girls must overcome to reach global fame.

“We are producing innovative formats that celebrate the female soul, diversity and inclusion. Our goal is to strengthen contemporary values such as female empowerment. We want to extend this space in E! by showing intelligent women who have an opinion, highlighting that beauty is relative and comes from the inside out,” commented Marcello Coltro, senior VP Contents and Creativity at NBCUniversal International Networks Latin America and producer of the program.
