Cinelatino’s exclusive U.S. television premiere of the box office hit Everybody Loves Somebody on Thursday, July 4, placed it in the #1 spot among Adults 18-49 during the 11pm–1am ET time slot, outperforming the programming of all other Spanish-language entertainment and sports cable networks.
According to Nielsen, the premiere also ranked second among Women 18-49 and Men 18-49 during the 11pm–1am ET time slot (live + SD), outperforming Univisión Deportes, beIN SPORTS, ESPN Deportes, and FOX Deportes, as well as national broadcast networks like Estrella and Azteca.
The premiere was part of a Fourth of July programming stunt featuring the hottest blockbuster hits from Mexico and Latin America of recent years, such as No Manches Frida, Instructions Not Included and El Infierno, among others.
“Our viewers know that we provide exclusive access to some of the best blockbuster hits, especially during weekends and on holidays like July 4th. Our winning strategy continues to be understanding our audience’s viewing preferences and offering Latino families what they most want: the opportunity to spend time together while enjoying the best possible entertainment,” said Lucía Ballas-Traynor, EVP of Client Partnerships for Hemisphere Media Group, Cinelatino’s parent company.
Produced by Pantelion/Lionsgate and starring Karla Souza (How to Get Away with Murder) and José María Yazpik, Everybody Loves Somebody was the third highest-grossing Latin film in the U.S. in 2016.
