Celebrating the 65th anniversary of Telemundo Puerto Rico, the Sales VP, Lourdes Dávila, presented a graphic titled Telemundo… Imparables, showing that Telemundo Puerto Rico has been in the first audience place so far this year. “In this first quarter, we were number one, and what´s coming the next 9 months will be even better.”
Dávila explains that this is possible thanks to the effort made by the team of producers, talent, and sales force, “not only our boss, José Cancela, but all the artists that work here every day to improve the local programming that is so important, as well as the programming the network provides us with, which has also been very successful. And thanks to that combination, we have managed to become the first in Women, and for the first time in a long period, People ages 18-49 in primetime”.
Regarding plans for the future, he explained that very good programming is coming: “We have many things including Exatlón part three, La Reina del Sur second part, which starts very soon; we have a hot sports summer with the Women´s World Cup, the Pan American Games, in which our best Puerto Rican athletes will participate, and whom we are very proud of, and the America Cup.”
Additionally, he pointed out that they have a local reality show that begins in summer. “It is going to be a game program called Puerto Rico Gana, and it will start on primetime at 8pm”.
