The film Polvo, opera prima of José María Yazpik, is shot under a co-production between THR3 Media Group, Alebrije Producciones and Tintorera Producciones.
The shooting of the film started in September in San Ignacio, Baja California, and has locations in Tijuana. Yazpik directs and stars in the film and additionally wrote the scripts with Alejandro Ricaño. The cast also includes Mariana Treviño, Joaquín Cosío and Jesús Ochoa.
