Amor en 266 Millas looking for streaming window

The romantic comedy Amor en 266 Millas, the Puerto Rican independent director and scriptwriter, Benjamin López’s most recent film, produced by Guacamaya Films in Honduras, is seeking distribution in the streaming universe.
López, a partner of Guacamaya Films in Honduras and a director and scriptwriter with Innova Entertainment in Puerto Rico, mentions that the film stars the Mexican actress based in Los Angeles, Fernanda Romero, and the Puerto Rican actor Eli Cay. They are accompanied by Laura Alemán and Luis Omar O-Farril.
The plot revolves around a recently divorced man, who, due to lack of stimulus in his environment is forced to move to Los Angeles. “It is a road trip in which the protagonist reunites with life and love. It is an inspiring and fun film. It is a truly organic story that presents situations that happen to divorced people. Everyone can relate,” expressed López who mentioned that the film was shot in 2017, but due to Hurricane Maria, its edition was delayed. In 2020, the plans were to distribute it in movie theaters, but covid forced to change their path and are now aiming towards the SVOD window.
Amor en 266 Millas is a Puerto Rican production, shot 90% in Los Angeles. Matthew Kodath is the executive producer on behalf of Guacamaya Films; Jennifer Gómez is the co-scriptwriter and Saray Guidetti, the producer.
Two other projects he is working on are the films Trapos Sucios (Honduras and El Salvador) and Mixtape (Puerto Rico), in English from the production company Abudo-Massó. Both are in the post-production stage.
“We are going to present it to streaming companies. My goal this year is to undertake this task,” he added.
