Hernán broke the glass roof of production budgets

Fidela Navarro, CEO of Dopamine and who was nominated in the Producer category for Hernán, highlighted that the series—that won in the category Best Miniseries in the 2020 PRODU Awards— Dopamine´s first as a production studio.

“It wasn´t easy. We have learned a lot of lessons from it. We had a bicultural crew that enriched it and gave the series a very particular type of “heart”.

Each of the series´ episodes was made from the perspective of a different character that supported Hernán,” she said. She thanked Benjamín Salinas, from TV Azteca for the opportunity to do this great production. “We are undergoing a change in paradigm. Now we produce what it sold,” she added.

She mentioned that with Hernán they were looking for a great character and also the opportunity to break the glass roof in production budgets for these stories. She highlighted that for them the entry of History and Amazon Latin America to Spain was very important in order to be able to make Hernán at the moment. “It is a story we had tried to produce for many years, and were finally able to do so,” she added.

As an anecdote, Navarro explained that, in addition to participating as executive producer, she was also in the talent team, participating as the assistant of a midwife in the eighth episode of the series.
