Géraldine Gonard, director of Inside Content (Conecta Fiction and OnSeries) commented on PRODU webinar that they consulted with the industry to make the decision to adapt to the circumstances after the pandemic. Under these premises, they decided to postpone Conecta Fiction, planned for June. She assures they practically made three events in one, two with the digital version (in June and in September) and the face-to-face one that took place at the beginning of September.
“We conducted a survey that resulted in a great “yes” in favor of doing Conecta Fiction in a virtual and face-to-face manner. There were a series of obstacles that prevented many from attending face-to-face; in America, the limitations in trips, in Europe, in the second resurgence. But we paved the way and fulfilled the industry needs. We can say that we have reached 90% of the executives we had determined to,” she said.
The face-to-face event was held in the Palacio del Congreso in Baluarte Pamplona, which was entirely dedicated to the event, so there was a great deal of space, which allowed a good distance between participants and the fulfillment of all the protocols.
Gonard assured that they have learned a great deal and that incorporating the digital part will contribute to the face-to-face event. In the case of Conecta, they gained participation from the press, journalists who would have not attended otherwise, allowing the event to gain international spread.
