The 18th Annual Hispanic TV Summit kicks off this Monday, September 21. For the first time, it will be presented as a live-streamed digital video presentation, over four days within the same week, ending on Thursday, September 24th. The theme this year is Hispanic TV: Where Latino Voices Matter Most!.
Each daily segment will be 90 minutes, starting each day at 12pm noon ET. The Summit will also be available later as an on-demand library series collection.
The summit is the most popular event of its kind and attracts hundreds of attendees annually to a forum where producers, programmers, researchers, marketers, brands, and media buyers meet with content providers from every platform.
The summit has been presented annually for eighteen years by Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News of Future plc, and consistently produced by Schramm Marketing Group.
The program starts on Monday, September 21 with the presentation of the Annual Hispanic Television & Video Awards, where leading executives, companies, organizations, and on-air celebrities are honored. A new series of awards will be introduced this year in honor of the late Rafael Eli, who passed in April from the effects of COVID-19. Eli had been co-producer of this event since its inception. The Rafael Eli awards will acknowledge individuals or organizations who were pioneers of Hispanic TV and helped to build and sustain the business.
The program scheduled on Tuesday, September 22, Wednesday, September 23, and Thursday, September 24 will include keynote interviews, presentations, and panel discussions with leading executives. The topics will address media and advertising sales, brand marketing, Hispanic audience metrics and data, new programming (with a focus on election coverage and news), audience promotion, subscription marketing, and content distribution.
