Disney Channel Latin America announces the beginning of the production of Bia, its new original series starring a multicultural cast.
Made in collaboration with Disney Channel Europe, Middle East and Africa, it follows the stories of a group of young content creators who have technology as a way of being. To create their contents, they develop and share their talents in a space of encounter and inspiration where they will form new friendships, face some rivals and live great romances.
The series includes original songs in Spanish and Portuguese, and from the beginning will go beyond the screen with a proposal of multiplatform experiences.
“Bia represents the consolidation of our strategy to locally produce original content, which began with Violetta and continued with Soy Luna. We will use our knowledge of this new content which I see as excellent and absolutely international. This is a multiplatform proposal that represents not only a priority for Disney Channel in Latin America but for the entire company,” expressed Diego Lerner, President of The Walt Disney Company Latin America.
The cast is led by the Brazilian actress Isabela Souza (Juacas, Disney Channel), the Spanish actor Julio Peña, the Mexican actress Andrea de Alba and the Argentinean actor Guido Messina.
Directed by Jorge Bechara and Daniel De Filippo, and produced by Pegsa and Non Stop, it will arrive in 2019 to the Disney Channel screen in Latin America and Europe.
