ESPN’s new four-year agreement with the National Football League begins September 8 at 7pm

Beginning with the new 2016 Season, ESPN will bring fans the best, most comprehensive NFL coverage throughout Mexico and the rest of Spanish-speaking Latin America. ESPN’s new four-year agreement with the National Football League begins September 8 at 7pm with the Thursday Night NFL Kickoff on ESPN2, with the Super Bowl 50 champion Denver Broncos hosting the Carolina Panthers. This is the first time a Super Bowl rematch kicks off an NFL season.This season, and for the next three seasons (through 2019/20), ESPN will air more than 500 hours of total NFL coverage—the most of any channel in Spanish-speaking Latin America—making it the go-to source for the best and most comprehensive NFL coverage in the region. For the first time, ESPN will air all of the NFL action from all Sunday afternoon games via NFL RedZone, where fans can see every score from every game. The “whip around” coverage will air on ESPN+, which is the linear television debut of NFL RedZone in the region.
