Eduardo “Lalo” Clemesha, VP of Formats and New Contents at Televisa -who accompanied Pepe Bastón in his meeting with the specialized press- informed that they had 8 series completely ready and 10 in preparation, made by people outside the company. Filmmakers like Inna Payán, Gabriel Ripstein, Jorge Aragón, were mentioned by Clemesha as some of the makers of the series of the new Televisa. It will first go to Blim and then to other platforms. Blue Demon, a co-production with Sony/Teleset, made up of 3 seasons, 20 episodes each, will start this cycle. The plan is to launch a new series each month. In this sense, Bastón remembered that since 2008 Televisa had started in the shift and knowledge of series and that now with Blim they have the window to open up to all the new Mexican talent and that they also had the structure to evaluate and decide on the projects they received from abroad. We want to make these series with talent outside Televisa intentionally. Blim is the adequate window to see all the episodes of one season in a single stretch until you fall asleep.Clemesha, in charge of developing the series since 2008, mentioned that they had made around 100 episodes since then, aiming at a new narration somewhere between film and TV, and that now, with the expansion of streaming, a timely window had opened for this content made by external producers with freer and stronger topics and a colloquial way of speaking.
