Univision Networks Despierta América celebrated its 19th anniversary with a special Live broadcast from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The four-hour show featured guest appearances and performances by Disney star Sofia Carson, Regional Mexican Music singer Luis Coronel, as well as from beloved Disney characters, partaking in its fun-filled mix of entertainment, news and information that viewers rely on to start their day. In the current 2015-2016 season, Despierta América ranks as the No. 1 weekday early morning program with more Hispanic viewers than the combined audience of ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS’ This Morning and NBC’s Today Show. Despierta América hosts Alan Tacher, Alejandro Chaban, Ana Patricia, Francisca Lachapel, Johnny Lozada, Karla Martínez and William Valdes, along with the rest of the shows special contributors and reporters led the festivities in the magical setting. The show featured celebrations of Ana Patricias daughters first birthday and a special first time visit by William Valdes beloved grandmother to the Magic Kingdom. The anniversary show closed with a heartwarming performance by the young host dedicated to her. Despierta América, co-hosted by Alan, Alejandro, Ana Patricia, Francisca, Johnny, Karla, and Satcha airs Monday to Friday at 7am ET/PT (6am Central) on Univision Network.
