Univision Deportes is celebrating the four-year anniversary of Univision Deportes Network (UDN), currently ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language sports network in primetime. Regardless of language, UDN has grown an average of 25 thousand viewers this quarter versus the first quarter of 2015. The growth and success of UDN in just four short years underscores the incredible power of soccer in the U.S., said Juan Carlos Rodriguez, president of Univision Deportes. Our strategy of delivering the best-in-class sports content that our viewers crave is paying off as evidenced by these blockbuster results. We will continue to invest in the teams and leagues that matter most to our audience and to deliver high-quality and cutting-edge production that enhances the viewing experience for fans no matter when, where or how they connect with us. During the summer of 2016, Univision Deportes will be the 24-hour home of Copa America Centenario, the most highly anticipated sporting event of the year in the Americas. Hosted in the U.S. for the first time ever, the tournament will run from June 3rd to June 26th and will include a total of 32 matches broadcast live across Univision Deportes portfolio of networks including UDN, UniMás and Univision Network. Coverage will also include at least two hours of live pre and post-game commentary on UDN and special editions of live studio shows each day of the tournament.
