Olympusat presents Cine Clásico’s and Ultra Clásico’s film restoration process at FICCI 2016

Olympusat, Inc. presents {Cine Clásico’s (SD) and Ultra Clásico’s (HD) film restoration process;www.produ.com/television/videos/index.html?Noti=10666} at the Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival –FICCI– in Colombia.“Olympusat has been able to build one-of-a-kind film restoration and color correction departments, helping them become leaders in the industry”, stated Jesús Piñango, director of TV Content Strategy.Olympusat has restored hundreds of classic Spanish-language films, including La Escondida, La Rebelión de los Colgados, El Amor no es Negocio and many more historically important movies from Cine Clásico’s (SD) and Ultra Clásico’s (HD) libraries.“Olympusat invests hundreds of man-hours per movie in film repair, optical 4k scanning, frame-by-frame restoration, audio sync and restoration, as well as color correction”, added Piñango.The 56th edition of the Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival has invited Piñango as a journalist specializing in TV content strategy to be a part of the forum Cinema and Memory: Recovering Archives next Saturday, March 5th, to give the audience an overview of the Olympusat film restoration process.
