Multimedios TVs Premios Grande 2016 honors legends and todays top talents in TV, music, sports and theater
After a successful debut in 2015, Multimedios TVs Premios Grande (Big Awards) return for a second year with an ambitious agenda of honoring the best in journalism, entertainment and athletics. This ceremony will be telecast live starting 9:30pm CT, Thursday, February 25, across Mexico and the United States from Auditorio San Pedro in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, Mexico. Hosting the ceremonies are two luminaries of Mexican TV: the actor and comedian Carlos Espejel and entertainment reporter Mónica Noguera. The highlight of Premios Grande is its tribute to César Costa, the pioneer of Mexican rock who will be on hand to accept this loving homage. Other living legends to be feted at this ceremony are Héctor Benavides, longtime anchor of Multimedios nightly news program Telediario Nocturno; and veteran stage actress Nena Delgado. Leading this years nominations are cast members of the much-talked-about novela El Señor de Los Cielos (The Lord of the Skies), which is gearing up for its fourth season. The 18 eclectic categories include awards for best TV series actor and actress, best new TV actor, best animated series or film, best artistic family, best TV luchador, best international Mexican athlete, best soccer coach, and various TV journalism fields.
