Elías Rodriguez was appointed general director of Technology and Operations at Televisa, which implies joining the San Ángel and Chapultepec Televisa directions and starting an important learning process regarding the production of telenovelas. For the director, that means the only thing that is constant is change.In an interview with PRODU, the director explained his new functions, which include choosing his team of collaborators carefully and stated that this will allow him to carry out all the work this new stage implies: I assumed the General Technical Direction at Televisa, which means I must take charge of the technical operations both in Chapultepec as well as in San Angel.”The decision to accept this new responsibility was considered very carefully because it will imply a lot of work. I will have to check the team behind me, since this is not a job for a single man.He dismissed the rumor that in the past there was rivalry between the two directions -the one previously led by the engineer Cenobio Moriel in Televisa San Angel and Rodríguez- there was never rivalry, we always cooperated jointly.Rodríguez clarified that until now he hadn’t had any foray in any aspect of telenovelas and that this is a challenge he gladly assumes. This project means something very important to which I will devote a lot of time to get to know it well.
