The program is produced and hosted by Negro Santos

Azteca New York announced that started airing Santo Domingo Invita on October 18 at 12pm ET after 41 years of exclusivity in the New York City market on Telemundo. The program, which shines a spotlight on Santo Domingo, its culture and its many tourist attractions, will expand to Miami, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Tampa as part of a national rollout plan to reach a broader Latino viewing audience. By the end of year, Azteca plans to air the show in 16 markets across the country. Santo Domingo Invita, which debuted in 1974 as a tourism platform for the Ministry of Tourism of Santo Domingo, has grown in popularity as the country has become a hotspot for vacationers attracted to the beaches, culture and food of the region. The program will continue to be produced and hosted by fan favorite Negro Santos, who was a 2015 honoree in New York’s Dominican Day Parade and has been Santo Domingo’s leading voice and ambassador for tourism. “We are thrilled to welcome the Ministry of Tourism of Santo Domingo to Azteca as a new partner and bring Santo Domingo Invita to Azteca. The show has been a beloved part of the New York television community for 41 years and making it available on a national level to a broader audience will enable our viewers of Dominican heritage to stay connected to their roots and culture. The show also will inform the entire Latino community about the many touristic offerings of the island,” said Gary Pacheco, Station manager, Azteca New York.
