Telemundo Internacional and Mega Chile announced at MIPCOM the signing of a long-term agreement giving the distributor exclusive rights for the distribution of the Chilean channels fiction productions worldwide. The signing, which took place in the presence of the media, was carried out by Marcos Santana, president of Telemundo Internacional and Patricio Hernández, CEO of Mega, making effective this month Telemundo Internacionals international distribution rights, across different media and platforms, to all of Megas fictional programs and formats, outside of Chile. This agreement expands Telemundo Internacionals portfolio of Chilean productions, which are increasingly garnering success in international markets, with the offer of approximately 450 hours of content per year. This agreement will add to our catalog excellent quality content with creative and innovative stories, in line with the standards that characterize our brand, stated Santana. Hernández describes the agreement as, a giant leap for Mega in the companys goal to internationalize its content and presence in the world. During the announcement, the companies presented Fancy Girl Without Money (94×60) (Pituca sin Lucas), the 2014 Mega production that reached an average of 30 rating points and approximately 50% share, making the channel the undisputed leader of its prime time slot in Chile.
