Televisa: From their origin our contents are already conceived in TV and digital

“From the script up to the production of a content, the contents that Televisa generates should already be conceived in a digital presentation”, assured Clara Méndez, Marketing Sales director at Televisa, who also said that 2015 will be the year of the launching of their series and telenovelas on second screen.”We want to offer different experiences when the user sees the content in digital. This year will be decisive for us since we will present the Telehit series Log Out that uses second screen, aside from some telenovelas that will be presented on other platforms. It is an adoption process from the origin of product, it is another way of thinking of the producer and the writers, who must create not only for TV, but also for digital”, she explained. Méndez added that technology transforms the way of communicating content, “therefore, as content generators we must be aware of how the audience behaves so we can change and offer new things. In Televisa we are aware that we have a great opportunity ahead of us to communicate and have a greater interaction with the audience”.Finally, she highlighted that telenovelas are products from Televisa that people consume more in digital, which proves that long contents are also required in this platform: “We know that there is where we should be and we make the most of it with more robust sites. This does not mean we are cannibalizing ourselves, but making the most out of different ways of consuming”.
