Mexicanal has announced the renewal of its original production, El Rayo Vida de Lucha, an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the life of famed Mexican wrestler, promoter and family man, Juan Padron Luna, AKA Rayo de Plata.The news comes as the docu-reality series approaches its Season One finale on July 27, after delivering solid ratings for the network and building a fervent fan following. El Rayo Vida de Lucha performed extremely well on VOD with Comcast, as the number of downloads tripled. Additionally, Mexicanal performed notably well among the 60-plus Hispanic channels providing media assets to the Comcast Media Center. Set in San Luis Potosi and Mexicos Bajío region, the series first 13 half-hour episodes have chronicled the strong ties and often blurred lines in Juan Padrons relationships with loved ones, employees and wrestlers, as he manages an arena and family dynasty of luchadores.” On Sundays season finale, viewers may learn what the doctors say about Juan Padrons health and whether he will be able to keep his Rayo de Plata dynasty together.
