Madeleine Contreras, general producer of the new RTI super series for Televisa El Chivo
Madeleine Contreras, general producer of the new RTI super series for Televisa El Chivo, -based on the life of Dominican dictator Trujillo in the 50s-, told PRODU it is a massive project, with a crew of over 200 people split into three unit shooting in different cities. The main challenge of this production is the period. We have to watch even the smallest details of the 50s, such as the locations, the background, wardrobe, the vehicles, accessories such as the briefcases used, the hairdos, everything, said Contreras. She is a veteran with 15 years in the industry, many of them at RTI, where she was part of the production of many hits, including recent ones like La Reina Del Sur and La Viuda Negra. She also said its extremely challenging to manage the three units simultaneously, moving the production to several cities, transporting antique cars to the locations in special transports, and keeping travel time between locations to less than a day and a half.Contreras commended the work of Gabriela Monroy, Art director of RTI. Im relaxed with Gabriela, she has vast experience and impeccable judgment, she said.
