Univision: The strategy of simultaneous premieres for UniMás is meeting its goal

According to Alberto Ciurana, president of Programming and Content of Univision Communications, Inc., the strategy of simultaneously premiering products such as La Viuda Negra and Metástasis on the group’s channels has fulfilled its goal.When asked about the performance of the finale of La Viuda Negra this past Sunday, June 8th on UniMás, Ciurana told PRODU: “La Viuda Negra killed her four husbands and annihilated the competition with its ratings. The strategy we followed with La Viuda Negra allowed the audience to turn and watch UniMás, making it the second most watched Hispanic network in that time slot.”Ciurana is confident the premiere of Metástasis will be a hit.“All seems to indicate this fusion we’ve done with the three networks will be successful again. Considering this Sunday was a very contested night, where we competed against general market networks and basketball, I think we met our goals and our expectations. We’re pleased with the results; it’s a high-quality product. With Metástasis, another partnership with Sony, we’re bringing to our UniMás screen great content,” added Ciurana.
