María Badillo VP of Programming & Production for Tr3s will manage the US Hispanic operations of Viacom

Fernando Gastón has decided to leave his post at Viacom International Media Networks The Americas (VIMN) as SVP of Programming & Production and Brand manager for MTV & Tr3s. Gastón has decided to leave VIMN to pursue other opportunities.“Fernando’s insights, creativity and leadership will be missed, but we wish him well as he embarks on the next phase of his career. An announcement about the appointment of Fernando’s role replacement will follow shortly,” said the Company in a statement.In a memo Sofía Ioannou, general manager at Viacom International Media Networks – The Americas (VIMN) – Tr3s – US, said: “Since joining the company in 2009, Fernando has led our creative and content strategies across multiple brands and in diverse markets. He has provided valuable insight to VIMN, and I’m grateful for the leadership he has brought to the company over the years. The search for a replacement is currently underway; in the meantime, I will take oversight of MTV, working closely with the brand team; and María Badillo, VP of Programming & Production at Tr3s will manage our US Hispanic operations.”
