Viacom to reduce its channel Tr3s to music videos only

Viacom International decided to limit the programming of its channel Tr3s, which caters to young Hispanics in the U.S., to airing music videos only, thus reducing costs of operation to a minimum.Sources tell PRODU the most affected areas at Tr3s are Advertising Sales, Creative Services, Production, Marketing, and Research, where an estimated 20 employees are being let go.MTV Tr3s launched in the U.S. Hispanic market in April of 2006. In recent years, the channel ramped up its production efforts, reaching 300 hours of original programming per year.
