LATV and CNNE kick off the Hispanic upfronts in New York

The Carioca girls of Brazil 2014 danced at the LATV upfront

The upfronts in New York kicked off with the presentation by LATV this past Thursday May 2nd, and will run through May 15th.At the upfronts, channels present new programming, as well as channel and market performance data to advertisers and ad agencies.Luca Bentivoglio, COO and Head of Programming of LATV, and Andrés Rincón, VP of Sales, delivered their presentation at noon at Club 40/40 on 25th street and Broadway. The message was clear: LATV is growing, both as an open-air channel, as well as a distributor of English-language Hispanic syndicated shows across the U.S.Later that afternoon, CNN en Español and CNN Latino offered their upfront at the penthouse of the hotel Ink48, on 47th street and 11th avenue.Both upfronts provided a healthy dose of humor. LATV offered a parody of the famous song YMCA. Cynthia Hudson, Senior VP and General Manager of CNN en Español and CNN Latino, dressed in green. She said she did it last year and would continue to do it every upfront.“Do you know why? Green, because we need your support. We need you to provide the cash… that’s the reason we’re here,” said Hudson amid the applause from the audience.
