Discovery US Hispanic is currently on its Upfront tour through different cities, where it meets with smaller groups of agencies in more intimate settings, following its feel Discovery theme.Eileen Piñeiro, Content Director of Discovery U.S. Hispanic, said to PRODU they have realized that over the course of the years, the channels have developed a relationship with their audience, reflected by the sustained growth in ratings and viewer loyalty.Thats how we will be presenting to agencies. We show them the numbers, but beyond figures, we show them how a viewer who tunes in to Discovery en Español or Discovery Familia feels, said Piñeiro.She also talked about the performance of the channels in the Hispanic market. With Discovery en Español weve had a consistent four year growth, and last year we had an impressive 18% growth in primetime. Additionally, we were leader in what we call late primetime (9pm to 12am), added Piñeiro.She pointed out the best performing programs for Discovery en Español include A Vista de Pájaro, Crímenes Millonarios, and Fuga Casi Perfecta. Our Discovery Presents on Sunday night at 10pm is always a top performer. At Discovery Familia we are having tremendous success with our medical shows, she added.
