Marián de la Fuente, journalist and producer with over 16 years of experience in U.S. Hispanic television, spoke to PRODU about her most recent projects.“I’m finishing a news and investigative reporting format in partnership with Plural in Miami, which I think will be very interesting this year for the U.S. Hispanic market. It’s a daily one-hour format that could be ready to launch by end of March,” said de la Fuente. She also commented she continues to work with the format Desaparecidos, and is pushing to enter some Latin American markets. She also plans to expand her show Mujeres con Pantalones to Latin America. She plans to adapt it to two specific markets that have expressed great interest: Argentina and Mexico. “This format has been well received by advertisers because they’ve realized this kind of programming, aimed at professional women who work hard, was a niche overlooked by both the Anglo and Hispanic markets. I hope it takes off this year,” added de la Fuente.
