Hispanic Communications Network LLC, La Red Hispana in Washington DC presents Poder Latino; the new weekly national one hour call-in radio show to empower Latinos voices to be heard on the major issues facing the community. Poder Latino is hosted by veteran community activist Jim Gonzales who is adept at making each caller feel welcome expressing their opinions while Jim keeps the conversation focused on solving issues of importance to the community. Calls to the show are screened by Jim’s wife, Maria, in California’s capital, Sacramento, and then distributed nationwide by HCN from Washington, DC.This is a commercial barter syndication show. Stations will have six (6) minutes (12 separate:30 spots) of local advertising time to sell. Local community leaders will be invited to call into the show to comment on statewide and national issues. Listeners and callers will use the show to learn about issues and increase the power of Latinos to shape our own destiny- to solve the immigration legal mess, to get health care for everyone, advocate for more trees and parks in Hispanic neighborhoods and better paying jobs in sustainable green industries.More info. {mercy.padilla@hcnmedia.com}
