Telemundo Station Group announced the addition of Diego Santiago as sports anchor for the Telemundo Southwest stations, serving Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas and Denver. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Santiago will anchor the sports segments for the local newscasts in Phoenix, Tucson, Denver and Las Vegas. Noticiero Telemundo Arizona airs Monday to Friday at 5pm and 10pm; Noticiero Telemundo Denver airs Monday to Friday at 5:30pm and 10pm; while Noticiero Telemundo Las Vegas airs Monday to Friday at 6pm and 11pm. The addition of Diego to the Noticiero Telemundo region will provide our viewers with up-to-the-minute sports highlights of local, regional and international sports relevant to our communities, said Araceli De León, Regional VP & general manager for Telemundo Southwest stations. Santiago has a broad range of experience as reporter and producer; most recently he was news anchor and producer for the 6pm and 11pm newscasts at Univision Las Vegas. He also served as one of the three interview panelists for the main debate for Nevadas U.S. Senate seat during the 2012 Elections. Prior to working for Univision Las Vegas, he was news anchor and producer at Univision Costa Central in California, serving the Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo markets. His experience also includes being a Sports writer with Latin Sports Network (LSN) and a Business news anchor for KCSN 88.5 FM radio in Northridge, California. He was previously a Sports writer for the on-line magazine {cityzine.com}.
