Univision will air 25th anniversary edition of Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina

Colombian singer/songwriter Carlos Vives returns to the Premio stage

Preparations are well under way for an unforgettable, star-packed gala marking the 25th anniversary of Univision’s Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina (Lo Nuestro Latin Music Awards), the longest running Latin music awards show in the U.S. The 25th anniversary edition of the show will air on the Univision Network live from Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena on February 21, 2013 at 8pm. Prior to the ceremony, Univision will cover the stars’ arrival on the Red Carpet in a pre-show special, hosted by popular Univision celebrities Giselle Blondet and Alan Tacher, beginning at 7pm.The three-hour Premio Lo Nuestro awards ceremony will be hosted by singer/actress Ninel Conde and Mexican music icon Pedro Fernández, joined by an A-list of celebrity presenters to be announced in the coming weeks. The first group of Latin music stars confirmed to perform live includes Romeo, nominated in seven categories this year; bachata sensation Prince Royce, who is also vying for seven awards; reggaeton singer Don Omar, with six nominations; pop duo Jessy & Joy and Regional Mexican music band La Arrolladora Banda El Limón, both nominated for five awards; Pitbull and tribal-guarachero Latin house group 3BallMTY, both nominated for two awards; Dominican singer, songwriter, and producer Juan Luis Guerra and Puerto Rican tropical music star Olga Tañón, both nominated for Artist of the Year; and regional Mexican music singer/songwriter América Sierra. Other highlights include two internationally-famous Latin superstars who will make their return to the music scene on the 25th anniversary edition of Premio Lo Nuestro with world premieres of their newest songs. Colombian singer/songwriter Carlos Vives returns to the Premio stage as well as recording artist Thalía.
