Grupo Supercanal launches Señal de Vida in the Hispanic market of the U.S.

A new signal is being added to the portfolio held by Grupo Supercanal, which distributes in the Hispanic market of the U.S.: Señal de Vida. PRODU spoke with Frank Jorge, president of Supercanal about the new venture and the performance of the channels in the U.S. “Señal de Vida is Grupo Supercanal’s new baby. It’s a channel that has us all very excited. It’s a channel directed to the families that will demonstrate spiritual and family values, and those of the interaction of humans within a household. The channel will launch at the end of the year and we hope it will be a great success. In fact, it’s been very well received with all the operators we’ve spoken with,” Jorge said. Señal de Vida comes from the Dominican Republic, and the plan is to distribute it across the globe on the Internet and in the U.S. and select countries on cable systems and DTH. “We’re integrating the best speakers in spirituality, and that we’re doing in conjunction with local Dominican production,” the executive added.
