Somos TV licenses top branded content for Semillitas

Viva Piñata, other popular animation that airs on Semillitas

Somos TV, the owners and distributors of the pay TV Channel Semillitas, the 24 hr. animation channel targeting toddlers and preschoolers in the US Latino market and Puerto Rico, announced the licensing of several well-known branded animation, to further strengthen its already popular content. The package is composed of Bali, Monkey see Monkey Do, Clay Play and a package from the internationally known Israeli preschooler channel Luli (Sand Stories, Let’s Have a Ball, Sound and Movement and Fabric Stories).“We take extreme care in Semillitas’ content and continuously look for animation that can appeal to both parents and their children. Our mission of supporting the language is accomplished with this strategy, together with our in house produced pieces,” said Luis Villanueva, president and CEO of the company.Semillitas is widely distributed by some of the most important cable and Telco companies and is growing in a little more than a year from its launch.Besides these recently acquired contents, Semillitas also airs other popular animations such as The Adventures of Paddington Bear, Wimzie’s House, The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss and Viva Piñata, among others.
