Univision to unveil new digital initiatives at Upfront

Along with revealing its 2012-2013 programming lineup, Univision will also announce its digital initiatives at its Upfront presentation. The initiatives intend to give marketers a more effective toolkit to reach the growing US Hispanic community. As part of its main attraction, Univision will present the launch of UVideos Digital Network, a video platform that will provide video content from Univision’s portfolio of television networks. The Upfront presentation will also cover distribution and discovery via its platforms through partnerships with Dish, AT&T, Hulu, YouTube, Fanhattan, iOS and Android. It will also mention Univision’s associations with a number of strategic partners to launch new, genre-specific broadband channels. For the first time, Televisa and Univision Studios are joining to co-produce a webnovela targeted at the US Hispanic market. Also, the network will be working with the actress Kate del Castillo who will star and make her directional debut with two premiere webnovelas.
