Bright House Networks continues getting bigger and better for its Spanish-speaking audience. This month Bright House Networks Local Programming Group celebrates a decade of local Spanish news programming reinforcing its commitment to the Spanish-speaking community. On March 4, 2002, Bay News 9 launched Bay News 9 en Español , a 24-hour local news channel, that was the first of its kind in the nation featuring short News and Weather segments. This groundbreaking achievement provided Bright House Networks customers in the Tampa Bay region with exclusive stories that impacted their community in their own language. In December 2006, Central Florida News 13 launched News 13 en Español, the only local 24-hour Spanish news and weather station in Central Florida. In July 2011, the companys Local Programming team combined the resources of the two local news channels, Bay News 9 en Español and News 13 en Español to create Floridas only 24-hour regional Spanish news and information network, InfoMás.InfoMás covers late breaking local, national and international news, accurate weather forecasts, entertainment and health stories, and of course sports. We are proud of our commitment to expand and provide Spanish language programming, and look forward to continuing to grow our news and content within this area.
