New pay-TV channel dar TV España to launch in Latin America and U.S. Hispanic

Roberto Montano, president of dar TV, introduced at Natpe the dar TV family of channels, of which dar TV España will be the first one to launch. Montano’s partners in the company are the three renowned Spanish directors Ramón Lorenzo, Iñigo Silva and his wife Maite.“We are launching the foreign film channel for the entire American continent: from Canada to Argentina,” Montano told PRODU.The concept is to bring to America content rarely seen in the region or films that have not had great exposure. dar TV España will specialize in content 100% from Spain, and in fact, the channel is fully produced in Spain.The official launch will take place at the Andina Link trade show later this year.Also, Montano is already in conversations with pay-TV operators in the U.S. Hispanic market to launch the signal.
