KWHY-TV CH 22 Los Angeles launches five-part series about Mexican soccer star

KWHY-TV CH 22 Los Angeles is televising a five part series within Mundo Deportivo Polémico that will feature never before seen videos highlighting Javier “El Chicharito” Hernández.The exclusive videos were shot while he attended elementary and early middle school in the city of Morelia in the state of Michoacan, Mexico during his pre-adolescent years.The five part series titled: El Chicharito, Dinastía y Gloria will be a walk down memory lane in the life of a young and already promising “Chicharito”. Part one of this worldwide exclusive premieres tonight within Mundo Deportivo Polemico.“Our challenge has been to take hours of incredible raw footage and edit it in a way that tells his childhood story over a matter of minutes every night this week. I believe we have accomplished this. You can clearly see that his formative years were filled with much love, happiness and stability, which today are serving him well as he handles his new found stardom on the world stage,” stated Diana Alvarado sports anchor for KWHY-TV CH 22 and the host of the series. Mundo Deportivo Pólemico is a sports (mostly soccer) news television show replaying the day’s scores and highlights along with commentary, previews and feature stories. It airs M-F at 6pm PST and is hosted by KWHY-TV Ch 22 sports anchor Alvarado along with Hipólito Gamboa, John Laguna, Elmer Souza and former Chivas superstar Martín “El Pulpo” Zuniga.
