Mexicanal: Entering the important New York market

Mexicanal, a channel serving over five million Hispanic households in the U.S., recently entered the important New York market.Maruchi Urquiaga, who was just promoted to COO of Mexicanal, said to PRODU: “We are in New York now, where a large number of Mexicans come from Puebla. We have the programming to offer to an important market such as this.” The executive pointed out Mexicanal had already entered the vital Los Angeles market in 2010.Urquiaga, commented on the launch of the show Los archivos secretos de Jaime Maussan: “We are confident it will play an important role this year for Mexicanal.”In addition to Urquiaga’s promotion, the channel also appointed Betti Ortega to VP of Marketing and Public Relations and Antonio González joined the company as Director of Operations and Production.
