During last Tuesdays CNN en Español re-launch cocktail party in Miami, Cynthia Hudson, Senior Vice President & General Manager for CNN en Español and Hispanic Strategies for CNN/U.S., announced the opening of a studio in Brickell Key in Miami, for the production of news and other shows; as well as a new state-of-the-art studio in Atlanta and the expansion of the channels offices in Washington, New York and Los Angeles.The event hosted close to 300 guests including advertisers, agencies, and media. Joining Hudson for CNN were Donna Mastrangelo, VP and Senior Executive Producer; Robert Lenz, News Director; as well as some of the on-camera talent of the network.CNN en Español will begin to position itself as a more interactive channel, a channel that allows more social media opportunities, opportunities for citizen journalism. We are going to go deeper, we are going to have announcements, debates, and we are also going to do what we think is the next step for allowing viewers to participate more in the channel, said Hudson.The channel re-launch will take place on screen starting November 22nd, when the new studios, new shows, new logo and new slogan will be unveiled.CNN en Español will keep its iconic red logo, but it will now display a tilde over the two ns. The new slogan, Vive la noticia, denotes the relevance of CNN en Español on the lives of its viewers.The new shows are NotiMujer, Documentales, Showbiz, Europa hoy, Choque de opiniones, and CNN Dinero.The Miami production center, with specific focus on Spanish, will complement CNNs bureau in Plantation, Florida.
