Telemundo announced it will premiere in full, a new primetime full-length novela across the networks digital platforms via a hybrid distribution model prior to making its national broadcast debut.Leveraging MSNs technology, Telemundos bold new programming move centers on Las Aparicio, a 120-episode novela that will launch on Telemundo.com on a new HD broadband player developed specifically for Telemundo and supported by partner MSN. Las Aparicio will feature English and Portuguese subtitles to attract and appeal to the full spectrum of U.S. Hispanics. The latest research shows there are close to 28 million Hispanics online in the U.S. Hispanics appetite for TV content online continues to grow at an incredible rate. Almost half of US Hispanics online (on the internet?) watch entire episodes of TV shows online versus only 28% of the general market. The launch of Las Aparicio is Telemundos latest programming innovation marrying our viewers fascination for digital TV content with cutting-edge technology.
