Comcast launches Galavisión in Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey

Comcast continues to expand programming for its Hispanic customers in greater Philadelphia and New Jersey with the launch of Galavisión, which is now available to customers on Comcast Digital Classic channel 567. With this launch, customers will now have access to all of Galavisión’s content, including exclusive coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and hundreds of hours of additional coverage. “Comcast is dedicated to providing our customers with information and entertainment that reflect their diverse interests. We continue to deliver on that commitment with the addition of networks like Galavisión and the expansion of our multicultural programming selection for customers,” said Amy Smith, senior vice president of Comcast’s Freedom Region.“For more than 30 years, Galavisión has offered news, sports, and entertainment programming that is not available anywhere else on Spanish-language cable,” said Deanna Andaverde, senior vice president of Field Operations for Univision Communications.
