Tweenies, the new show for CBeebies, premieres this Friday June 11th

CBeebies is launching a new show called Tweenies this Friday, June 11th, in the US. The BBC was searching for a brand new iconic show – and received over 70 concepts. In order to create a program that was able to cover as many aspects of a child’s life it seemed crucial to set the program within a child’s environment and experience. “Tweenies fits within CBeebies’ programming philosophy on many levels. Tweenies shows children in all aspects of their lives; playing, discovering, getting on with each other, and learning about their world. It is one of the few programs that can sit anywhere in the CBeebies schedule and still be relevant,” explains Kay Benbow, executive producer of the show.
