Alejandro Egozcue
Alejandro Egozcue from Conill was a member of the jury for the SXSW Innovation Awards, which explores transformative digital projects with a view to the future. In his case, he evaluated three categories: Social & Culture, Wearable Tech and New Economy. The list of winners is available here.For Egozcue, the most important aspect of the winning entries was their innovation. “Helping to identify the most exciting technological breakthroughs in the online world was truly gratifying. It was also fantastic to back SXSW (South by Southwest) and the city of Austin,” he said.He also recalled that in today’s world, technology and creativity go hand in hand, “from the compiling of information, knowledge and data to the tools, software and hardware needed to execute that creative idea,” he added. Egozcue has won prizes at such festivals as Cannes Lions, LIA, Fiap, SOL, One Show, Wave, New York, and has worked for Savaglio/TBWA Argentina, Verdino/Bates, HBB Argentina/Miami, LatinWorks in Austin, Texas (now called Third Ear) and Casanova/McCann.
