Founders & Kalik
Founders, the independent agency founded by Tanya De Poli and Checha Agost Carreño, has begun working with Kalik, the beer of the Bahamas that forms part of Heineken International. Founders is already working on the launch of the entire family of Kalik products under the theme of “Keep Kalikin.” With the acquisition of this new beer account, Founders continues to expand its presence in the Caribbean, where it currently handles the Jamaican beer Red Stripe plus American Express and Scotiabank, companies that recently assigned their communications in six markets to the independent agency. “We’re happy to begin working with Kalik because it’s ‘the beer of the Bahamas,’ it’s very much a part of the island chain’s culture and presents us with the great challenge of continuing to grow its image. We’re developing a strong relaunch campaign for the brand, which will begin out of home with digital platforms and social media, and will cover the whole archipelago,” Tanya and Checha said in a statement. With regard to the indie agency’s expansion in the Caribbean, its founding partners added: “The Caribbean is turning into a strategic hub for us because more and more brands need our services in the region.”Precisely to meet the needs of this expansion, they recently announced the addition to their Founders Jamaica office of Davida-Mae Chambers, who together with Shea Powell will direct the agency’s operations in the Caribbean region.
