Daniel Marcet of FIAP: To move forward we must be optimistic, ready for change

The world is going through a time of crisis and uncertainty that urges us to restate the importance that the good performance of the communications industry has for society. The Ibero-American Advertising Festival (FIAP), as one of the more traditional conferences in the region, is not oblivious to this need and insists on the importance of continuously building opportunities through more and better creativity. “The way to get ahead after this crisis is by being optimistic and preparing for some very important changes. It’s pointless to just complain and passively wait for the storm to pass” FIAP CEO Daniel Marcet said. The Festival, whose very soul is based on the transformative power of creativity, also stimulates a search for new paths and a break with old habits. “New technologies will be essential to optimize the times to come. Remote work will be the key to lowering costs and boosting yields. I am convinced we shouldn’t wait around looking for opportunities but should rather create them ourselves,” Marcet said. Regarding industry inquiries about the event to be held on September 15-17, the FIAP organization will soon announce its scheduling based on when the coronavirus pandemic will be overcome.
