Marcos Cline Altered LA
Altered.LA (Los Angeles) in partnership with Casa Comedy (Mexico City) recently premiered the Netflix Original stand-up comedy special, Daniel Sosa: Maleducado. The special was produced in Mexico City and premiered on June 27th, 2019. This represents the first of a number of stand-up specials and one of the many ventures in long form content for the company.“What is happening in stand-up is amazing, not just in Mexico but across all Latin America” highlighted Marcos Cline, Executive Producer and Founder of Altered.LA. “It is a space that allows us to be inclusive and do a deep dive into difficult topics while simultaneously do it in a fun and engaging way”.Cline highlighted that while the advertising business has evolved, he is not one to think that these changes have been for the worse. “Ultimately we are storytellers and we’re fortunate to now be able to do so on multiple formats. Our corporate culture has always been one of experimentation, ability to pivot, and one of constant learning” he said. “When we see opportunities to tell stories on different platforms, we seize them and do it with energy, drive, and happiness, because we recognize how lucky we are to be able to do this for a living. Regardless of whether it is an advertising campaign, a theater production like the one we are staging, or a comedy special like the one launched on Netflix we’re vested in its success”.He pointed out that they are also innovating in the way to tell stories, such as exploring with interactive content. “We are quickly becoming the bridge between long-format storytelling and advertising” he concluded.
