Paloma Fuentes
Paloma Fuentes, Senior Brand Manager at Richards/Lerma, is one of the top 25 women in advertising honored by the AAF (American Advertising Federation) Dallas in 2019. “At a personal level, I’m enjoying this acknowledgment even more because among the industry disciplines, Brand Leadership isn’t usually the star. The contributions we make every day are truly crucial for the success of a campaign and to reach the goals of the brands we work for, so the award is a reminder to the entire industry of the role we play – and also, of the perseverance of women.” The AAF Dallas Shining Stars gala will be presented by SMU Advertising and will take place at The Bomb Factory on May 23. “For me personally, beyond the acknowledgement of a woman, it is also very important to be able to represent Mexico and the determination of Mexicans” Fuentes said. According to Fuentes, the trust a company places in its personnel’s talent is essential for promoting greater female participation in leadership-decision positions in the industry. “At Richards/Lerma, I’ve had the luck to work with some truly admirable people at every level, who have given me the chance to make important decisions and perform my duties with freedom and responsibility. So for me, female participation in leadership and decision-making positions is determined by the willingness of key people to believe in you and to give you the chance to shine and continue growing in the industry.”
