Checha Tanya Ogilvy
In an exclusive for PRODU, César “Checha” Agost Carreño, CEO and CCO of Ogilvy M & M, and Tanya De Poli, General Manager of Ogilvy Miami, announced that the agency has won the Universal Orlando Resorts account. “We are very happy. We’ll be working on communications for all of Latin America to advertise the parks, hotels and tourist attractions of Universal Orlando Resorts,” said De Poli. “In terms of creativity, the challenge is huge. We’ll have the chance to work with such attractions as Harry Potter, The Simpsons and all the others.” About the campaigns developed by Ogilvy Mexico and Colombia, Agost noted that “you never know” when an idea will go viral, a reference to the success of the DNA Discounts initiative for Aeromexico. “It all has to do with a great idea that presses the right buttons at the right time. During the shutdown it reached higher latitudes than we originally expected. These are campaigns that go beyond advertising and touch media that are more related to the people,” Agost said. For De Poli, the success between the agency in Mexico and Miami has to do with the unique talent whose creativity flows and encourages clients to come up with ideas as well: “We’re lucky to have clients that break out of the mold.” “We handle many brands and consider ourselves a very agile organization. Though we do virtual things, it’s important to have a close-up, face-to-face relationship with clients. Geographical and mental proximity help us with the brands we advertise,” Agost said.
